Taren Ferguson, Class of 2016, was recently promoted to Center Director of Ottumwa Job Corps. Taren has been at the center for eight years and was most recently the Administrative Services Director. Her passion for helping students succeed is obvious. “I love our program and how we are able to witness the positive affects we can have on our student’s lives every day. This new position will allow me to work more within the community to develop relationships and opportunities for our Center but also work closely with our management team to continue to provide the best service we can to our students and staff. ”
When asked about how Ottumwa Leadership Academy has helped in her personal development, Taren shared, “The networking opportunities I had while participating in O.L.A. gave me the chance to make new connections. These connections helped me professionally by building great business relationships, which will be essential in my new role.”
