Help us congratulate Maggie Sauer, Class of 2021, on her recent promotion to Director of Financial Aid at Indian Hills Community College. In this role, Maggie will oversee the department which helps counsel and advise students regarding financial needs, maintain the ongoing financial aid regulations, restrictions and requirements, as well as monitor the financial aid policies and procedures.
“I am most looking forward to the exciting growth opportunities being expanded upon at our institution, and in this role, being able to play a small part in continuing to help provide future career opportunities for our students,” stated Maggie.
When asked about what she took away from Ottumwa Leadership Academy, Maggie shared, “Ottumwa Leadership Academy has played a very fundamental role in my career. I entered into the Academy as a Financial Aid Advisor. As I learned more about becoming a leader, I took those key elements and experiences gleaned from our sessions and learned to apply those elements into how I would want to lead. Some of those experiences included the group and individual projects involved with O.L.A., as well as the monthly sessions with our community’s leaders.”
