Help us congratulate David Will, Class of 2019, on his new role as Factory Manager at John Deere Ottumwa Works.
“As Factory Manager I will be working with our committed team members in Ottumwa to build the best Baling & Mowing equipment in the industry,” stated David. “I’m excited to bring new technology and connection to our factory through our Smart Industrial journey that is happening across the entire John Deere Enterprise. I am confident that John Deere Ottumwa Works’ best days are ahead of us, and we have the right talent to achieve our strongest performance ever!”
When asked about his Ottumwa Leadership Academy experience, David shared, “O.L.A. taught me that it takes a village to make true and lasting change. I saw this as I learned about the history, resources, and servant leaders in Ottumwa and surrounding communities. I also experienced this first-hand as I participated in a class project that positively affected organizations in need.
“These lessons made me a stronger leader by growing my team through trust and mutual respect, providing them autonomy to accomplish more than I could alone. This new role will stretch my abilities even further and I am looking forward to the challenge.”
