Help us congratulate Justin Hunter on his new role as Executive Director of Addington Place of Ottumwa.
There he has the opportunity to serve residents seeking assisted living accommodations and memory care services. “These services are near and dear to my heart as I love to serve people! I find a lot of gratification in getting to know my residents on a very personal level. I enjoy listening to their life stories and look to them for guidance on how to make Addington Place the premier destination for assisted living in Southeast Iowa.”
As the Executive Director, Justin manages the day to day operations. This includes: payroll, human resources, financial management, and quality assurance. “I enjoy working closely with the Health Services Coordinator to ensure we are delivering exceptional care to our residents. I also work scrupulously with the Community Relations Coordinator to ensure we are reaching our strategic goals related to sales and marketing.”
“Attending the Ottumwa Leadership Academy helped prepare me for an executive leadership role by developing my core strengths. The academy’s course study on CliftonStrengths was instrumental to my success. My assessment revealed that my biggest strengths across the four domains were: analytical, woo, harmony, and restorative. This assessment was a real “aha” moment for me. This training instructed me how to build a team around my inherit abilities and my weaknesses. I was able to build a great leadership team by looking for individuals who possessed strengths I lacked. This in turn created a very knowledgeable, robust team capable of handling the toughest of challenges.”
