Shelby Behymer was recently named the Business Office Manager at Monroe Care Center in Albia.
Shelby’s professional background includes an A.A.S. from Indian Hills Community college and work in the human services field.
Shelby, a graduate of the 2020 class of the Ottumwa Leadership Academy, joined the academy to “grow professionally… to improve in the areas of team building and networking to empower others to initiate and share their ideas and induce positive change.”
When asked how her time in the Ottumwa Leadership Academy impacted her new position, she said, “During my time in OLA, not only did I meet many wonderful people and form new connections, but I also found the confidence to explore my strengths and use them in my community. I was fortunate enough to become part of the CASA program during this time, and I now get to use the knowledge and skills learned in OLA to grow both personally and professionally.”
