Beth Riley, 2019 graduate of the Ottumwa Leadership Academy, has been promoted to Mortgage Loan Officer at South Ottumwa Savings Bank. In her new role, she has additional duties including demonstrating leadership, enhancing customer service by providing a positive environment, and efficient communication.
“The Ottumwa Leadership Academy program gave me the tools that I need to keep striving to achieve my goals. I now have the confidence to use my strengths and weaknesses to become a more effective leader,” Riley said.
Riley also has words of encouragement for anyone considering applying for the Ottumwa Leadership Academy, “It does get you out of your comfort zone, but it is well worth it. You will gain new friendships, make connections, and learn a lot about the community and have the resources to be able to help people.”
When she’s not working, Beth enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and visiting Ottumwa’s beautiful parks.
