Bronson Eick has been part of the John Deere Ottumwa Works team for over 18 years. Much of his leadership training and experience over those 18 years has been primarily focused on business. “I felt being a part of the Ottumwa Leadership Academy would be a great opportunity not only to learn more about leadership through a different lens but also to learn how the community works, who makes it work and where I can help make it better,” Eick shared regarding his interest in joining the 2021-2022 class.

Eick graduated from the University of Missouri Rolla in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and completed his Master of Business Administration from St. Ambrose University in 2009.

In November, the O.L.A. class focused on local education. Reflecting on the session, he said, “It was very impactful for me because I have two elementary school kids, and I am on the Seton Catholic School board. Not being from Ottumwa, I had little insight into the Ottumwa and Cardinal School systems. I was able to learn a lot about the school districts’ successes and challenges as well as meet the leaders making positive changes.”

Eick is looking forward to the upcoming Statehouse trip and the opportunity to meet with local representatives and state leaders. “I feel this is a great opportunity to get a much closer look into how the state and local government works,” he said.
Outside of work and O.L.A., Bronson enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
