Lisa Fritz obtained her associate degree from Indian Hills Community College and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Truman State. She later received her master’s degree in Adult Education. After spending most of her early career with Principal Financial Group, Lisa joined Bellevue University, serving students as a Relationship Manager. She has a passion for lifelong learning and helps students reach their goals, so helping students with their next educational steps after completing their associate degrees is a natural fit.

Being new to both the area and her new role at Bellevue, Lisa applied for the Ottumwa Leadership Academy to learn more about the Ottumwa community. “It’s been an excellent opportunity to learn more about Ottumwa as well as meet other leaders in the community.  I had many years of leadership experience in the business world–this is different. I’m learning about how to be a leader in the community and how to give back,” Fritz said.

For anyone considering the Ottumwa Leadership Academy, Lisa had words of advice, “I would strongly encourage you to apply. It has been a great learning experience on subjects that you normally would not have exposure to–Human Services, Education, Criminal Justice systems, County and Municipal governments, just to name a few.  You also meet many great people!”
