We are excited to announce our Dean for the 2021 Class of Ottumwa Leadership Academy – Dr. Marlene Sprouse!
Dr. Sprouse has worked at Indian Hills Community College since July 2000, first as Dean of the Centerville Campus, then as Vice President of Academic Affairs. She took over as President of Indian Hills on November 1, 2013.
Dr. Sprouse began her 40-year career in education as a high school English teacher. She also worked as a K-12 curriculum director and high school principal before coming to the college. Her experience includes teaching faculty development courses and facilitating new faculty and new administrator workshops.
“I have lived, worked, and played in the ten-county area served by Indian Hills Community College for her entire life,” stated Dr. Sprouse. “Being the Dean for Ottumwa Leadership Academy is a great opportunity to stay engaged and invested in the area of which I am so fond.”
