Ottumwa Leadership Academy celebrates its 9th year with a graduation ceremony Thursday, June 3rd, 2021. In order for the participants to graduate from the program they were required to attend a full-day session one day per month, participate in a team project, and attend one community meeting.
The graduates from Ottumwa Leadership Academy include Zenna Boyd, Lindsay Cale, Lisa Fritz, Cara Galloway, Patty Galván Ramos, John Henscheid, Himar Hernández, Justin Hunter, Michael Kral, Olson Miller, Ryan Miller, Phil Rath, Michelle Russell-Graham, Maggie Sauer, Mike Spieler, and Daniel Terrian. The Dean for the 2021 class was Dr. Marlene Sprouse.
As part of the graduation ceremony, the Ottumwa Leadership Academy will name the first recipient of the Barb Allison Alumni Award. Barb, a 2014 graduate of the Ottumwa Leadership Academy, passed away in 2019, leaving a legacy of service to the Ottumwa Leadership Academy and many other organizations in the Ottumwa community.
